Mazagan has become the first non-Asian golf destination to join the Asian Tour Destinations network, marking a new milestone in the resort’s international presence, expanding beyond Asia for the first time.
By joining the network, Mazagan becomes the 13th destination in the ‘Asian Tour Destinations’, which includes a range of global golf destinations directly linked to the Asian Golf Tour.
The announcement follows the resort’s hosting of two consecutive professional tournaments this summer, as part of the Asian Tour and the Asian Development Tour (ADT), reinforcing its association with professional golf at the international level.
Mazagan is located near the city of El Jadida on Morocco’s Atlantic coast, about an hour’s drive from Casablanca. In May, the resort hosted the AM Green IGPL Bharath Classic on the Asian Development Tour, followed by the AM Green IGPL Morocco Rising Stars Championship the following week.
The tournament was jointly sponsored by the Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL), with Thailand’s Tanapat Pechakul winning the Bharath Classic and Sweden’s Charlie Lind winning the Morocco Rising Stars.

Mazagan Resort features an 18-hole golf course, designed by golf legend Gary Player, winner of nine major tournaments. The resort also features 500 state-of-the-art rooms and suites, a luxury spa, outdoor pools, and direct access to a seven-kilometre beach.

Through its membership in the Asian Tour Destinations, Mazagan will benefit from a range of marketing opportunities and opportunities to enhance the brand’s presence, as well as expand collaboration and networking with other destinations that are members of the network.
The network’s member destinations receive accreditation confirming their readiness according to the standards of the professional tour, in terms of the facilities and services necessary to host the tournaments and operate according to their requirements throughout the year.
Membership also allows Asian Tour players to play and train at member destinations, providing club members with opportunities to communicate directly with some of the tour’s top players.
The network currently includes destinations in Singapore, Thailand, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia and Cambodia, with Mazagan becoming its first member from outside Asia.
