The Minister of Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Tourism Development Fund, Ahmed Al-Khatib, inaugurated the “Rixos Marjana” resort, with the enablement of the Tourism Development Fund – the national enabler of the tourism sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – as the investor and financier of the project, in partnership with Emaar Economic City Company – the master developer of King Abdullah Economic City – as an investor in the project and FTG Company as the developer of the project.

The resort is ready to welcome visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom in King Abdullah Economic City as the largest all-inclusive resort in the Kingdom, in the presence of the CEO of the Fund, Qusay bin Abdullah Al-Fakhri, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rixos Hotels, Fattah Tamince.

The Rixos Marjana Resort was designed to be an ideal location for families and those seeking integrated leisure experiences through (488) rooms and suites with diverse sea views, in addition to (33) villas, an integrated fitness center, a sports complex and meeting and conference facilities, and to contribute to providing 250 jobs for Saudi citizens, reflecting the developmental dimension of the project.
The Minister of Tourism affirmed that the opening of the Rixos Marjana Resort represents an important step in the development of quality tourist destinations in the Kingdom, and reflects the readiness of tourism projects to enter the operational phase and receive visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom, noting that this project embodies the role of the Tourism Development Fund in transforming investments into real destinations that contribute to improving the quality of life, expanding the range of tourism options for families, and supporting the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The resort features an interior design inspired by the art of coastal Hijazi architecture in a style that blends authenticity and innovation in a harmonious visual experience, as it includes the longest swimming pool in the Middle East, spanning (111) meters, in addition to the “Solara” beach club.
The Rixos Marjana Resort is considered an all-inclusive destination for families, as it includes the “Marjana Water Park,” the first integrated hotel water park in the Kingdom, which contains 11 diverse water rides, including “Emerald Drop,” “Wave Pool Lagoon,” and the “Marjana River Adventure” swimming pool, in addition to water play areas, a family dining experience at the “Sea Ferrers Catch” restaurant, as well as the “Rixy” Kids Club, the “Teens” Teens Club, and various sports facilities.
