The Arab Tourism Organization announced the selection of New Alamein City as the Arab Summer Resorts Capital for the year 2025, based on meeting the criteria prepared by the organization, which are:
– Management and organizational work in the summer resort
– And the summer resort infrastructure
– Recreation and entertainment patterns and resources
– Preserving and protecting the environment
– Security, safety and health
– Responding to tourism developments
– The results of performance measurement and analysis. This selection also comes in recognition of the city’s rapid urban and tourism development, its unique natural assets, modern infrastructure, and integrated tourism services, making it a leading destination for coastal tourism in the Arab region.
This selection confirms the growing status of New Alamein City as one of the most prominent tourist destinations in Egypt and the region, thanks to its diverse range of recreational and cultural activities, world-class hotel facilities, and its hosting of major events and festivals during the summer season.

Egyptian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy expressed his pride in this Arab recognition, stressing that the selection of New Alamein reflects the Egyptian state’s efforts to develop coastal cities according to an integrated vision that combines sustainable development and high-end tourism.
He also explained that the Ministry, in cooperation with relevant authorities, will organize a rich program of cultural, artistic, and entertainment events in the city in 2025 to celebrate this title. This will contribute to enhancing tourism and raising the level of services provided to visitors from across the Arab world.
It is worth noting that the Arab Tourism Organization awards this title annually to one of the Arab cities that achieves excellence in the field of beach and summer tourism, in a way that enhances competitiveness between Arab cities and encourages the exchange of expertise and successful experiences in the tourism sector, especially since the cities that obtained this title previously achieved an increase in the number of tourists to them compared to previous seasons, exceeding more than 35% of the numbers achieved.
