Travel bookings from Saudi Arabia during the Eid al-Adha holiday in 2025 are witnessing unprecedented demand, particularly for two prominent destinations: Egypt and Turkey, which have dominated the tourism scene this season, according to officials at Saudi travel and tourism agencies.

Eid Al-Adha holiday officially begins on Thursday, Dhu al-Hijjah 5, 1446 AH (June 1, 2025), and continues until Dhu al-Hijjah 18 (June 14).
Tourism experts in Saudi Arabia indicated that the cities of Cairo, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Hurghada in Egypt, and Istanbul, Antalya, and Trabzon in Turkey, recorded the highest booking rates from Saudis at the beginning of May. These figures were driven by several factors, most notably proximity, ease of obtaining visas, strong promotions on hotels and resorts, moderate weather, and entertainment services. Turkey is considered a prominent destination for nature lovers and shopping enthusiasts, while Egypt continues to attract Saudi families with its diverse offers on beach hotels, especially on the Red Sea.
