Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, spoke about the number of Saudis who visited his country in 2024, after conflicting figures were announced. He confirmed to Sabq that nearly one million Saudis visited Egypt in 2024.
This came during the Minister’s participation in the opening of the Arabian Travel Market exhibition in Dubai. The Egyptian pavilion received a large turnout, capturing attention with its distinguished organization and stunning appearance, which reflected the true image of Egypt’s global tourism potential.

Fathi explained that his ministry was keen to follow up on every detail of the pavilion’s preparation and organization, which contributed to its distinguished appearance, which was admired by all visitors and participants.
He added that a number of Egyptian tourism companies and businessmen participated in the pavilion, showcasing a variety of tourism programs and services.

He continued: “The pavilion witnessed a large turnout of visitors from various nationalities on the first day, a clear indication of the growing interest in the Egyptian tourism market and the desire to learn about the unique experiences Egypt offers in the fields of cultural, beach, entertainment, and medical tourism.”
Participants emphasized that this remarkable success stems from the fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and the private sector, further strengthening Egypt’s position as a leading destination on the global tourism map.
