
South Sinai tourist resorts and hotels are preparing for Christmas 2025 by developing the lighting decorations that they launch every year, with lighting Christmas trees, placing a moving Santa Claus at the entrance of the hotels, and placing bright and cheerful decorations in different areas of the hotels, with the preparation of dazzling entertainment singing programs.
The facades of hotels, squares and plazas in Sharm El Sheikh were lit up with Christmas trees, Santa Claus, statues carrying illuminated lamps, the word 2025 written in lights, and various illuminated shapes, giving the city a splendid and beautiful appearance, and it began to sparkle with all the colors and types of cheerful and eye-catching lighting.
Major General Khaled Mubarak, Governor of South Sinai, said that Sharm El-Sheikh is wearing a new look this season, stressing that most of the hotels and resorts there have changed their lighting decorations to welcome the New Year, and have prepared various programs and concerts to suit all tastes of tourists from different nationalities around the world.
The governor explained that South Sinai’s tourist resorts are witnessing stability in tourist occupancy during this winter tourist season, coinciding with the events taking place in the Middle East region, and it is expected that the hotel occupancy rate will rise in the coming few days coinciding with the New Year’s Eve 2025, especially since the atmosphere in South Sinai’s resorts and hotels is warm, and it is a wonderful tourist winter resort, and enjoys all the tourist components that meet the recreational, cultural and religious needs of tourists from different nationalities of the world.
Major General Khaled Mubarak pointed out that the security services in the governorate have raised the maximum level of readiness to receive Christmas celebrations in all tourist resorts and hotels, in addition to emphasizing the identification of those coming to the governorate, and searching from the Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel to Taba, and intensifying ambushes at the entrances to tourist cities, and deploying fixed and mobile services, and the foot service personnel will be intensified around tourist facilities and beaches to secure the celebrations.
A source in the South Sinai Chamber of Tourism said that there has been a demand for hotel reservations since the beginning of the winter tourist season, and the demand increases with the approach of the start of Christmas celebrations, especially in tourist resorts in the cities of Sharm El-Sheikh and Taba, and after hotels and resorts implemented marketing plans to target new tourist markets to attract a large number of tourists from different nationalities in the world, in addition to announcing distinctive tourist programs.
He stressed that the Egyptian tourist destination is one of the global tourist destinations that is in high demand during the winter season, due to the warm weather that Egypt in general and South Sinai in particular enjoy, and this weather attracts millions of tourists who love beach and water tourism in general.
Mr. Dhafer, Marketing Director of Rixos Hotels Egypt, said that the tourist resort hotels in Sharm El Sheikh are accustomed to preparing and getting ready to welcome the New Year 2025 in a different way every year, whether in terms of lighting, or decorating the facade of the hotels and the reception by placing illuminated Christmas trees and Santa Claus surrounded by gifts, or various artistic singing and entertainment programs, and finally preparing the foods that tourists of different nationalities prefer to eat during Christmas.
