Rixos Egypt Hotel Group has begun implementing its ambitious expansion plans aimed at strengthening its activity in the country, contributing to making Egypt the ideal choice for tourists from all over the world, and strengthening its position as one of its most prominent luxury hospitality destinations.
Mr. Erkan Yildirim, General Manager of Rixos Egypt Hotel Group, said that the Rixos Group currently includes 11 hotels and more than 7,000 rooms, and aims to continue its expansion efforts in Egypt, bringing the number of its hotels to 17 hotels with 15,000 rooms during the next two years.
This expansion will include the “Rixos Radames Sharm El Sheikh” hotel, which Mr. Yildirim described as a “comprehensive and integrated destination,” as it will include more than 4,000 rooms, an amusement park, a water park, more than 40 restaurants, and a conference center, all ensuring that guests have an unparalleled entertainment experience.
Yildirim stressed that the group’s goal in establishing “Rixos Radames Sharm El Sheikh” is to provide Egypt with more than one million additional tourists. This forecast is in line with last year’s figures of 250,000 tourists, which will double this year as the group expands.
He added, “The Rixos Egypt Hotel Group’s focus is not only on increasing the number of rooms, but also on providing guests with distinctive experiences characterized by luxury and diversity.” For example, the recently opened Club Prive by Rixos Sharm El Sheikh caters to families seeking privacy, with 26 distinct villas, each with its own private beach, chefs and housekeeping teams.”
Mr. Yildirim highlighted the services tailored to each guest’s individual needs, saying: “The same team members welcome guests year after year, giving them the feeling that they have never left their home.”
Mr. Yildirim stressed the strategic importance of Egypt for Rixos Hotels, noting that the country is not only a tourist destination, but also a historical and cultural center linking Africa, Europe and beyond. He said: “Our expansion plans are not limited to Sharm El Sheikh only. We have new projects in Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and Hurghada, and we aim to cover all parts of Egypt. Egypt is an exceptional and promising destination that everyone should see and explore.”
Mr. Yildirim explained that the Rixos Egypt Hotel Group enjoys the lion’s share of the market, with more than 50% of the luxury rooms in the country under its management, stressing that it has an endless commitment to providing luxurious services and reaping guest satisfaction. He said: “Our motto is to make people’s lives easier. They already have enough stress in their lives already. In this context, I always give my team one directive: Never say “no” to a guest.”
He continued his speech by saying: “Rixos Egypt hotels ensure that guests reach all their hotels within just 10 minutes, and plan to organize free buses to facilitate transportation, which enhances the comprehensiveness of the stay experience.”
Speaking about the existing expansion projects, Mr. Yildirim said: “We have more important projects under implementation, including the Rixos Montazah project in Alexandria, which holds a special place in my heart. This wonderful project, which was launched in September, extends over an area of more than one million square meters.” It includes five hotels, and this is evidence of our passion for excellence and our commitment to transforming Egypt into a world-class destination.”
He added: “Rixos Hotels’ vision is not limited to Egypt only, but its expansion plans include reaching major international markets such as London and Germany.
Rixos Egypt Hotels is scheduled to host the African Tourism Forum and Exhibition next year, and this exhibition is expected to witness the attendance of 50,000 people. This prominent event will attract global attention to Egypt and showcase the unique experiences offered by Rixos hotels.”
He expressed his happiness at the positive results achieved by the first session of this forum and exhibition in attracting international attention to the tourism sector in Sharm El Sheikh.
Mr. Yildirim concluded his speech by saying: “We seek to make Egypt one of the unique destinations, offering 12 months of opportunities for visitors from all over the world.”
