Ms. Supaluk Ompoj is a key force in The Mall Group, one of Thailand\u2019s largest retail operators. Following the success of The Siam Paragon, she is now looking to create a series of revolutionary mega retail projects \u2013 The Em District consisting of The Emporium, The EmQuartier, The Emsphere, The Bangkok Mall and many more. The entrepreneur holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Mahidol University with First Class Honours and a Master\u2019s degree in Pharmaceutical Engineering from Purdue University in the United States.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ms. Supaluk\u2019s business acumen and expertise have led to her being recognized by various institutions and authorities throughout her career. In 2004, she was also honored as \u201cOutstanding Businesswoman\u201d by the Business Federation and Professional Businesswomen\u2019s Association of Thailand; in 2005, she was honored with \u201cMahidol University Outstanding Alumni Award\u201d by Mahidol University; and in 2006, she was awarded the World\u2019s Leading Women Entrepreneur Award. In recent years, she has been named \u201cIron Butterfly\u201d of Thai Retail by Fortune magazine and \u201cPerson of the Year\u201d by Thai Tatler magazine in 2015. In 2019, she was awarded \u201cEntrepreneur of the Year\u201d by the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA). She has also been an honorary advisor to the Governor, Tourism Authority of Thailand, and served as the Executive Committee Director of the Bangkok Fashion City Project.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In June 2021, Ms. Supaluk was appointed Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honor (Ordre national de la L\u00e9gion d’Honneur \u2013 Chevalier), by decree of the President of the French Republic. The badge is a symbol of recognition of France for its long-term commitment to promoting and developing trade between French companies and the Mall Group, including its contribution to the recognition of French know-how and culture in Thailand.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

2024 has been a historic year for Ms. Supaluk, marked by significant achievements in the global retail industry. She was inducted into the Hall of Fame by the World Retail Congress, with an awards ceremony taking place in Paris in April. Her exceptional work and dedication has also been recognized by CNN, which will feature a one-on-one editorial interview with her on September 14, 2024. In addition, Ms. Supaluk recently received the prestigious Business Woman of the Year award at the Asia Corporate Excellence and Sustainability Awards in November. On February 4, 2025, she was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Retail Leaders Circle, held in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
