Turkey participated in the Arab Tourism Market exhibition held in Dubai during (May 6-9) with a large pavilion in which it promoted its tourism.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Turkey pavilion witnessed an increasing demand from visitors and participants in the exhibition, due to the advanced technological innovations provided by Turkish tourism.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Regarding the importance of this participation, the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism stated that this exhibition was very important to us, as the major tourism companies in the world gathered in one place. We participated last year with a pavilion of 200 meters, but this year we participated in a pavilion of 800 meters so that Turkish companies could display Its services.<\/span><\/strong>
\nRegarding the impact of tourism on the Turkish economy, he said: Tourism makes a significant contribution to the Turkish economy, and the revenue from it last year reached 18 billion US dollars, and this year we expect the revenue to reach 21 billion dollars.<\/span><\/strong>
\nTurkey has become one of the top ten tourist countries, as it has hundreds of archaeological sites, various tourist attractions, and famous hot springs.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Arab<\/strong>
\nReports issued by the Turkish government revealed an increase in the number of Arab tourists who spent their annual vacations in Turkey from 500,000 tourists in 2003 to 750,000 tourists in 2005, an increase of 50% in two years.<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe Turkish government hopes that these numbers will grow in the future, especially from Saudi tourists, by highlighting the tourism potential and cultural and heritage aspects.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In a related context, the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism held several media meetings with a group of Arab and Turkish media representatives, during which he spoke about the developments taking place in the Turkish tourist destination and the work to launch new tourism products, in addition to the development work taking place at archaeological sites.
